Denise from Lucky LaqHer Art has sent us a keen, neato, out-of-this-world wall project in the Googie style!
What’s Googie, you ask? You probably already know it—you may just be new to the term.
Googie is an architectural style popular from the 1940s to 1970s that shows up around the world, but mostly where it originated: in Southern California, at a coffee shop called Googie’s. It’s a highly playful and futuristic style—think “The Jetsons” or Disney’s Tomorrowland. Googie, now retro, is hip once again in art, film, clothing, and….crafting!
